Sue-Ann White is a seasoned Accounting Administrator with over 20 years of experience in financial operations and administrative support. Since joining Volcano Construction in November 2019, she has brought her expertise, precision, and passion for numbers to every aspect of the company’s accounting processes.

Annette Sheppard is the Controller at Volcano Construction, bringing over 25 years of experience in financial management, strategic planning, and corporate accounting. Since joining the company in October 2021, Annette has been instrumental in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company’s continued growth with clarity and expertise.

Mike started his education at St. Mary’s University, but decided to go a different route and began his career in construction. In 2011, as an experienced residential roofer and bricklayer, Mike joined the Volcano Construction team as a General Labourer. Although he started as ‘green’ as they come in the demolition field, Mike’s strong work ethic and a willingness to learn helped him rise through the ranks to a Foreman on Demolition, Concrete Cutting, and Abatement job sites. In 2021, Mike was promoted to the role of Estimator.

Jamie is a lifelong Maritimer, having been born and raised in the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). From early on, he always enjoyed doing hands-on tasks. Jaime quickly found his passion for construction-related work by using power tools and operating equipment. Once he realized he could make a career from these interests, he turned his hobbies into daily work. His knowledge has come from on-the-job training, supplemented by various training courses taken to further his expertise in the industry.

Terry has always had a passion for hands-on work and has been working in the
demolition/construction industry for over 20 years. He has worked as a labourer and moved through the ranks to his current positions as Project Manager. With a working knowledge of all aspects of this line of work, Terry has established himself as an integral part of the team, both in
the office, and out in the field.

Fran has worked in various aspects of the construction industry for 15 years. After completing
her schooling at NSCC, she joined the Volcano team starting as an Admin Assistant. Fran
quickly grew her skills and has worked in several different departments of Volcano. Her current
role as Project and Safety Coordinator keeps the office and the field staff running smoothly.

Born and raised in HRM and spending his early years in Cow Bay, Brady is a very proud Nova Scotian. He spent most of his life watching and listening to his family members, who have worked in the demolition industry for the past 15-20 years. Volcano Construction Services Ltd. has been a family run business since inception and Brady knew from a very young age that his family’s vision for the company was something he wanted to be part of.

Born in Cape Breton and raised in Dartmouth, Justin proudly calls mainland Nova Scotia home. His career in demolition began early — at just 14, he started working with a local contractor in Cow Bay, quickly earning a reputation for his strong work ethic, determination, and natural leadership.

Ward’s career began hands-on, working as a Foreman in a machine shop specializing in hydraulic cylinder repairs, valve servicing, and hard chrome plating. His early years laid the technical foundation and strong work ethic that would drive his success. After five years refining his skills in the mechanical trades, Ward transitioned to the demolition sector, stepping into another Foreman role with a local demolition company.

Born and raised in Cape Breton, Beverly has worked in corporate finance for most of her career. After graduating high school, she moved to Halifax to attend Dalhousie University. Upon realizing that a career in science was not what she wanted, she took a job working in a centralized fast food restaurant data centre. She immediately took interest and wanted to learn everything about running a store of her own. Within two years she was the manager of four corporate restaurants in Dartmouth and one in Halifax. She was 23 years old.
