July – September 2017, Halifax NS
In the summer of 2017, Volcano was awarded the contract to cut up and dismantle the existing Biomass boiler and associated equipment at the Dalhousie Agricultural Collage in Truro, NS. This was yet another large and time sensitive project, given the new boiler arrangement had to be installed and commissioned before winter.
With the boiler being the only heating option available for the entire campus, it was imperative that the project be completed without a hitch. Volcano brought in an experienced torch-cutting team and a small excavator to make the dismantling more efficient so that deadlines would be met. This job was completed within the time frame that was allocated and with zero incidents or injuries.
