Born in Cape Breton and raised in Dartmouth, Justin proudly calls mainland Nova Scotia home. His career in demolition began early — at just 14, he started working with a local contractor in Cow Bay, quickly earning a reputation for his strong work ethic, determination, and natural leadership.
After gaining hands-on experience in both interior and exterior demolition, Justin discovered a passion for torch-cutting and industrial rigging. With a unique ability to plan and execute complex mechanical removals safely and efficiently, he quickly became a key player in mechanical demolition projects.
In 2009, Justin was part of the founding team that launched Volcano — a name he personally suggested, inspired by the first boiler he removed early in his career: a Volcano boiler.
Over the years, Justin’s forward-thinking mindset and commitment to excellence propelled him into leadership roles. Today, as Director of Estimating & Business Development, he plays a pivotal role in shaping Volcano’s strategic growth, working closely with clients and the management team to deliver industry-leading service and solutions.
With a strong focus on innovation, safety, and long-term client relationships, Justin continues to drive Volcano’s success — one project at a time.
